Global Initiative on Justice With Children

The global initiative on justice with children is a joint programme aiming at strengthening child justice worldwide.

It was Launched for the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Geneva to address current challenges regarding the situation of children in conflict with the law.

The GIJWC connects practitioners worldwide through international gathering, capacity buildings, research and advocacy on child justice.

World Congress on Justice With Children

Every five years, the World Congresses on Justice With Children bring together policymakers, academics, civil society, practitioners, and children themselves to spark discussions and prompt action to address critical issues faced by children in contact and conflict with the law.

Between congresses, the GIJWC hold national and regional preparatory meetings to gather insights on urgent child justice challenges, shaping the theme for the next World Congress.

After, Lima, Geneva, Paris and Mexico, the next edition of the World Congress is scheduled for the Spring of 2025 in Madrid, Spain.
