Call for Proposals Deadline Extended to 1 October 2021

This call is for proposals to organize a workshop. This year’s congress is a working event with action-oriented workshops aimed at producing concrete outcomes including roadmaps, plans of action, declarations, recommendations, and certificates (only for the training workshops). They will have three levels of meetings each with a clear objective:

Panel Discussions – diverse and inclusive discussions between a 4 or 5-speaker panel and the audience. Panelists may present publications, research findings, avenues for action, etc that touch on any of the Congress themes. The discussion should be interactive and provoke intellectual and critical discussion among/between the panel and participants. The panel debates should be diverse, inclusive and encourage live chat.

Certified Training Workshops – Share tools, details of your successful project, ideas or promising practices on justice with children through skills- and capacity-building workshops Help others to benefit from your knowledge and experience so they too can protect and promote equal access to justice for children and young people.

Working Groups – Hands-on group exercises. Team up with new partners and organizations to tackle specific human rights challenges. Develop concrete calls for action, outcomes, and joint initiatives. Work together with registered participants to deliberate and come up with concrete solutions to tackle challenges in ensuring access to justice for children. May include breakout rooms. The development of collaborative documents is encouraged

Workshops will be according to the time zones across various regions and will take place simultaneously between 16th – 18th November 2021 in the following order:

  • 16th: North America, Latin and Central America and The Caribbean.
  • 17th: Europe and Neighbours, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • 18th: Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Asia Pacific and Oceania.

Individuals, entities, or groups of experts can propose a full workshop on one of the defined thematic topics. The application form invites you to provide an abstract of your contribution and to place it in one of the topic categories. Each topic can be addressed from the perspective of legal reform, scientific research, or validated practice.

The Call for Applications has been extended until 1st October 2021. Please submit your proposals through the Online Application form.

Each workshop will last 90 minutes.

Once The World Congress Organising Committee and Scientific Committee have considered the abstracts received; you will receive an answer and an invitation to participate in the Congress.
