The conference will take place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from 28 to 30 May 2018.
Registration of participants will take place on Monday 28 May from 8.30 a.m. in the entrance hall of the UNESCO building, rue de Suffren. They are strongly encouraged to register as early as possible, before the start of the conference, which will begin at 9:30 am. Registration will begin at 8:30 am and will be accompanied by coffee.
Upon registration, participants will receive an identification badge that must be worn at all times.
FLIGHTS TO PARIS
Paris is served by two airports:
- Roissy-Charles de Gaulle (tel: +33 (0)1 48 62 12 12) for most international flights, located north of the city; and
- Orly (tel: +33 (0)1 49 75 52 52), used mainly for domestic flights, is to the south of the city.

HOW TO GET TO UNESCO HEADQUARTERS?
The entrance to the main building is at 125, Avenue de Suffren in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.
- By metro
Tickets giving access to the Paris network can be bought individually for €1.90 or in booklets of 10 tickets for €14.90.
Each ticket is valid for one trip regardless of the distance travelled. These tickets are on sale in metro stations and tobacco shops. The nearest UNESCO stations are Ségur (line 10), Cambronne (line 6) and Ecole Militaire (line 8).
- By bus
You will use the same tickets as for the metro, one ticket per journey but without connections. Tickets sold on board are 2,00 €.
Don’t forget to stamp the tickets when boarding the bus. Buses 28, 80, 82, 87 and 92 pass near UNESCO. You will find more information about transport in Paris and the Paris region on the Paris transport website: www.ratp.fr.
- By taxi
Many taxi services exist in Paris, you can find many numbers on the site http://www.taxis-paris.fr/reservation.htm
- By car
There are many underground and aboveground paid parking spaces near UNESCO. They are indicated by signs with a white P on a blue background. Don’t forget that fines are systematically imposed for any non-payment or time overrun.
All participants are requested to contact the nearest French consulate/ diplomatic mission in their country to obtain visa information, if necessary.

In May, Paris enjoys a good sunshine of about 7 hours a day but there is always a risk of rain. The average temperatures are between 11°C and 21°C but be aware that depending on the year they can drop to 2°C and rise to 32°C.

France’s currency is the euro. Most shops and hotels accept major international credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express etc.).

Simultaneous interpretation in UNESCO’s four working languages, English, French, Spanish and Arabic will be available during the conference in plenary session.
