Every three to five years, the World Congresses on Justice With Children bring together policymakers, academics, civil society members, practitioners, and children themselves. These congresses spark discussions and prompt action to address critical issues faced by children in contact and conflict with the law.
Between congresses, the GIJWC hold national and regional preparatory meetings to gather insights on urgent child justice challenges, shaping the theme for the next World Congress.
After, Lima (2009), Geneva (2015), Paris (2018), and Mexico (2021), the next edition of the World Congress on Justice With Children is scheduled for June 2-6, 2025 in Madrid, Spain, accommodating hybrid participation, with simultaneous in-person events in various locations around the world.
