World Congress on Justice with Children

The World Congresses are organised by the Global Initiative to address the most current issues related to children in contact and/or conflict with the law. They provide dedicated and interactive spaces for children and youth, policymakers and justice system stakeholders, academics, civil society and UN representatives, and other experts and practitioners.

The World Congresses aim to:

  • Promote fair and appropriate justice systems for and with all the children worldwide.
  • Provide a space for professionals to exchange best practices, foster scientific cooperation, formulate policy recommendations and raise awareness about child-friendly justice for children.
  • Support the operational implementation of international instruments and standards related to the rights of children and young people in conflict with the law.
