Evidence Based Research and Final Evaluation Report “Strengthening Civil Society to Build Youth Resilience to Counter Violent Extremism in Albania” Project

The “Strengthening Civil Society to Build Youth Resilience to Violent Extremism” project has enabled a network of NGOs to act as barriers to violent extremism in local communities in Elbasan, Pogradec and Tirana. These organisations learned and engaged in understanding the social dimension of the problem in their communities. Afterwards they contributed to the struggle against the causes of violent extremism and radicalisation through education, capacity
building and awareness raising.
The project put young people and schools at its centre, providing best practices that are to be taken as future references in similar projects.scheme. Approximately 200 activities took place throughout the regions, directly reaching approximately 11,000 people.
