LEAP - Participatory practice for children and young people affected by sexual violence

This course explores how practitioners working with children and young people affected by sexual violence (SV) can engage young people as active partners in their own support and care, by applying a set of approaches known as the participatory practice. This framework helps children and young people affected by sexual violence to assert their rights and reclaim their power to create positive change in their lives and in the world around them. It calls for practitioners to focus on young people's strengths, to respect young people as competent social actors, and to let young people take greater control over how they engage with services. Completition requires 2.5 hours in total.
