COVID-19 Ending detention: Operational Guidelines- Security forces

This document provides operational guidelines for security forces handling children and youth in two scenarios: those who come into contact with the law (pre-trial) and those who have been released from detention and are in the process of reintegration (post-sentence) during the COVID-19 emergency. The guidelines complement existing technical notes and child protection case management guidance, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with technical partners to contextualize regulations and plans according to each state. The guidelines are divided into three parts, focusing on the role of security forces, the interdisciplinary approach with other professionals, and essential principles of action during the health emergency.
